The 5th grade just had a great trip to
Sacramento. We enjoyed seeing the Capitol, Railroad Museum, Sutter’s Fort and
of course, visiting Coloma and panning for gold. Our tour guide, Jerry was
awesome and very knowledgeable about almost everything. We had as many parents
as kids and they enjoyed it as well.
In class we are also getting started on our bottle rockets.
The students are in groups of three trying to figure what will make their
rocket go the highest. They are discussing and researching if the amount of pressure
or the amount of water make a difference. Some are even testing the fins. In
the next couple of weeks we will see what they come up with.
